Here is a good example..
Needed a roof done, posted on craigslist.
Hired a white experienced roofer that i knew and had used in the past. he worked 2 hours a day for 3 days I had to let him go as he was never going to get done.

Hired another white guy from neighboring county, he talked a great game, swore up and down he was experienced with tile, after 2 days it was clear he had no idea what he was doing. I sent him down the road.

Hired a 3red white guy, him and his crew of one worked on it for a week, after checking his work, it clearly was not up to code and he clearly was over his head, I renailed the job it myself oh and I fired him also.

Keep in mind, my roof now has no tiles on, its been over 2 weeks, I'm developing an ulcer and started smoking again. Talked to an old buddy of mine who used to be a roofer and still knew some people in the trade and told me they used to sub contract out all tile jobs to them, he gave me their number and we agreed upon a price and a timeline. They showed up the next day with a crew of 7 and busted their ass. They stopped at 12, started at 1 and worked a full day. I came home from work and the job site was spotless and they were 75% done. The next day was thanksgiving. They showed up at 8, got done at noon, cleaned up their mess, I paid them and they were on the their way. 8 years later, my roof is still perfect. My only regret was not finding them first. Yes they were all mexicans and only one spoke english. So short answer. They are anything but lazy, from my experience, they are some of the hardest working people at the lowest rate, and their quality of work is not even in the same league as most white guys.
