1. Weed is not physically addictive. It is however psychologically addictive, but if you are just looking to loosen up every now and again than you have nothing to worry about.

2. Bong is more effective due to the size of hits you are taking and the diffusion from the water. A bong can be relatively expensive depending on how nice it is, so none joints are cheaper. Though in the long run it does take more weed to roll a joint than it does to load a bong bowl. You would also have to roll the joint and since you probably haven't done that before it might be a pain.

3. I live in Colorado which is a weed state in the U. S. And weed is cheap here. Relatively speak8ng though, the common denomination to go off of is 10 dollars a gram which is more of less 3-4 bowls. It could be more expensive based off of where you are specifically located.

4. You just kind of get lucky. Ask your "friend" or maybe ask your local high school stoner.

Good weed is dense, will have tiny crystals on it more than likely. The less stem the better and the less seeds the better. Usually weed i get comes without seeds (don't smoke the seeds or stems they won't do anything). Ask of its an indica or sativa, that will affect your high.

If you've never smoked weed before- it'll make fuck all differencs what strain of weed you get, or if it's strong/good or not.
Better and easier to smoke it in a pipe or a bong- but also a lot easier to smoke more than you want to/need to/should for your first go, so- maybe a joint would be better for your first go? (Get someone else to roll it for you) Just have a couple of pulls on it, then wait a minute or two to see how you feel.

What you need to do OP is take all of the weed you buy and make it into an edible and eat the entire thing. This way you will trick your body into getting only pleasantly high. An easy way to make an edible is to get some graham crackers, nutella, olive oil and tinfoil. Mix some nutella and olive oil together in a bowl, spread it onto a graham cracker, grind your weed up very finely and spread it onto the nutella mixture, then spread some more nutella mixture onto another graham cracker and place it on top of the first one like a sandwich. Wrap your nutella weed sandwich in tinfoil and place it in an oven preheated to 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. Let it cool before eating. The finer ground your weed is and the more nutella you squeeze onto the graham crackers, the better your edible will be.

To be honest, I've had a proper joint a few times in my life but A: they take a lot of weed to make and B: they completely fuck me up whereas I can have 3 spliffs over an evening before they completely mong me out.
