I've actually found that, rather counter-intuitively, there doesn't seem to be a perfect match in cross tolerance between oil and weed. That is to say, having a ridiculous tolerance for one does not give you an equal tolerance for the other.

And that doesn't surprise me. It is a stronger concentration of THC, the shit that makes you high, with none of the other more relaxing cannaboids you get in flower. It gives the high a more lucid, stimulating character most of the time. And its a lot easier to quickly do too much oil compared to smoking weed.

you can't get high just by eating the things, thats not how it works. you have to cold-extract the alkalines in them, that's what causes the high.

just get regular store-bought poppy seeds, but make sure it's the black and gray ones, white doesn't work.
mix about 300g or so into a 2 liter bottle, fill it up with just enough water to make it 'liquidy', and add some lemon or fruit juice for flavor.
shake that for a couple minutes and you should be good to go.
it takes some experimenting, as there's no set standard way to do it, but apparently the result is pretty good.

I think that logic only works with edibles. When you smoke weed or oils and when you consume cannabis the main chemical getting you high, as we all know, is THC. The reason edibles don't give two shits about your tolerance is because the THC enters your body in a new location that is usually exposed to small amounts of THC if any. The THC from oils shouldn't have a different entry point if you're smoking, meaning your threshold for the chemical should carry over.

Dont use hot water, just use cool tap water. If you dont have a scale, one cup is roughly 4 ounces of poppy seeds. I highly suggest spending $20 on a scale so you can be consistent.

pour seeds into a 1 liter/ 32 ounce bottle and fill with cool water to about an inch over the top of the seeds. Shake for 5 minutes, let it sit for 5 minutes then strain the mixture. I have a bottle cap that I drilled a bunch of small holes in, I will cut out a 2"x2" square from a junk T shirt and screw it between the bottle and lid to squeeze out and filter the liquid.

Do this twice. The first wash gets you ~60% of the goodies and a second wash gets you ~30%. You can do a third wash but considering the stuff is only $1.50 a dose..... dont bother.

The stronger the seeds, the nastier the resulting concoction. I'd like to say "its not that bad" but honestly, good seeds are fucking nasty. repulsive. The first few sips your body will likely try its best to puke it out. I like to mix my poppy seed tea with a healthy portion of pink lemonade mix and promptly chase each sip with a gulp of water. Use lots of ice. I do the shit out of boredom probably 2-3 times a month for the past year. It is still fucking nasty. but fucking hell it hits you like a train for 24 hours.

It badly dehydrates you so drink lots of water

Dont try eating the same day you drink pst. things dont tend to stay down. maybe a very light snack a couple hours before drinking. Dont try drinking this shit without a strong stomach.
