Of all the bands to come out of Seattle in the early 90's I think Nirvana was easily the worst. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam were all superior.

Nirvana did have one talented member but it's the guy behind the drums, not the one in front of the mic. Kurt Cobain probably did the world a favor because otherwise we might have never gotten the Foo Fighters who are simply better than Nirvana in every way.

There was nothing intrinsically better in the Beatles' music. Ray Davies of the Kinks was certainly a far better songwriter than Lennon & McCartney. The Stones were certainly much more skilled musicians than the 'Fab Four'. My proof:
* Rock n roll from the 60's is still played and enjoyed on the radio today - 45 years later.
* Music from the 50's and before quit getting played in the 70's.
* Music of other genres from the 60's quit getting played in the 70's, ie, jazz, folk, 50's & 60's pop (Mr. sandman, Boyfriend's back crap)
* Kids from the 60's, 70's and 80's did not listen to the same type of music their parents listened to. From the 90's on, kids listen to very similar music their parents listened to.
