not really

I've got moved up from standard help desk work which is nice, but now I just fix security cameras and do cable runs. Kind of nice, but working in IT at a highly unorganized and badly managed place is pretty shit.

Varies. If I need cash I work, try to keep a 5-10K reserves. Dont spend alot of money.

I dont work anywhere. I just do soem online buying and selling, but mainly renting places going cheap and rerenting them back to people needing an initial landlord reference in the country.
Literally no reason for my existence. Capitalism is absurd at times..

I dont know? Smart but lazy. In a decade I have no idea how I have survived. But I have wine and good food and sex usually near by.
I am wondering now what the fuck am I good at? How do I keep the existential FEAR at bay if I have no vocation? What the fuck do I do well apart from make folks happy now and them? o_O

it's okay for my 2nd job, but I'm probably going to get a better job after I get my living arrangements locked in.

They started playing with how the commission work and nobody is happy about that. way too much mandatory overtime but that seems to be the only way to make money there. The union favors seniority way too much, so if you're a new guy you basically live there until your co-workers retire, get fired, have an accident or just retire. They don't seem to understand how lead dust works, everything is supposed to be on vacuum tables and shit but we put them on carts and wheel them around into non-ventilated areas and the only vacuum table is like 1 foot deep and 4 foot wide and that's all we got. Needless to say everybody's blood lead is off the charts and everybody is probably going to get the cancer now.

I'm a weld inspector working in propulsion. I also help run our Friction Stir Welding department.

We have a somewhat bad reputation as an employer but I don't really see why. I've been here for a long time and I really enjoy my work.

Cool, glad to hear that you enjoy it. Ideally I'd like to work there as a programmer, not sure if there's much opportunity there tho.

I'm a repair welder at a company that makes exhaust systems for BMW.

17.50$ an hour as of now.

Some days yes, some days no. It's not bad though.

Some of the upper management are complete fuckheads who do hypocritical bullshit all the time. Supervisors give little to no respect to certain employees.

There are tons of programming jobs available. Avionics/flight control hardware, webdev stuff, we run our own custom ERP/inventory/scheduling software and if you're really good you can eventually get into our Propulsion Dynamics group which does all of the flow simulations on our in house server/GPU farm. That's were all the CompSci/Math/Physics PhD's work.

Just don't whine when you don't get off at 5pm the Friday before launch week. We fucking hate that shit.
