I've been in the same boat as you and I'm even younger than you. I always loved my hair, I've had every hairstyle imaginable in my young years, Bieber, Elvis, a young Dicaprio, even dreadlocks...

At 24 I had a more normal hairstyle and I noticed it was thinning. A year later I saw skin through my hair and I felt horrible. Shaving everything didn't feel like an option to me because I was convinced, like you, that it wouldn't fit me.

I went for the $5000+ on implants, the doctor promised me incredible results. Yet a year later I barely noticed any difference, the only thing I gained was a big scar on the back of my head.

I learned something from the experience, even if you get implants you're fighting your genes and it's a battle you can't win. Even with implants you'll never get the full head of hair you desire.

I decided that, before I turned 30, if there wasn't any improvement I'd turn my life around. I ended up getting tan during the summer, grew a beard and shaved my head. And if that's you in the picture, compared to you I had a full head of hair at that point.
Still, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I won't lie to you, it'll feel really weird in the beginning and occasionally you'll still wish you had a full head of hair, but you'll be happy you don't look like that anymore.
Your confidence will rise, you'll start feeling better every day and people will notice. I'm getting more compliments and female attention since I've started shaving my head than ever before. And it's a huge time saver as well.

It looks like a very similar case my own - i was about 28, with long luxuriant hair that was thick as velvet curtains but I started to notice that the corners of my forehead didn't look as thick as the rest.

I started to wear my hair a bit shorter for a while as I hated looking like one of those old rocker with the receding hairline but a ponytail at the back.

Now, at 35, my hair is a little thicher than OP's but I shave it - 2 at the sides,3 to blend then 4 on top. It's much easier to manage. I'm still in teh mourning stage but I am far more comfortable with it now than a year ago when I first started shaving.
