Anyone here like oldskool happy hardcore/techno/jungle circa 1994?

Track is fairly new but a step in the right direction to the traditional UK Hardcore sound.

Never heard of the genre. but I like it. Thanks OP.
>>
happy hardcore is the 4th Reich music. It like drones out the thought part of my brain and makes it easier to drop bombs on civilians. But yeah.. I do like that jungle

I really like breakcore, and this reminds me of it, really liking this.

I was never a big fan of female vocals in my jungle/hardcore, but Lords of Acid was somehow different.

Sweet, Luna C was one of the early hardcore pioneers, before this, there was shitty attempts to merge Trance with fast 4/4 kickdrums, sounded stale. This shit blew me away though.
>>
>>714451916
this was the song that got me into jungle in the 90s. I bought some mixCD based on the cover art lol. had this and omnitrio and shit on it. Part of it sounded super cheesy, but the hooks were in and coulnd't stop listening to it.
>>
>>714452173
I've not heard this one before, kinda chilled, wouldnodtowhilswasted/10.
>>
i member that shit from when i was young. was more into jungle though...

Yeah! It's that sweet sub-bass and the chopped up breakbeats that get me going, Happy Hardcore was a kinda melodic but more 'in your face' kinda thing. I think proper rave will stay underground for now though, perhaps for the best.

jungle/dnb was a religion back in da days...

>>714452765

fucking this. just so much shit going on. I was a bit "late" to the rave scene ( 96 ) - was mostly into punk before that and thought ravers were fags. irony. but its like breakbeats added a level of agression that was unresistable to me. And then once I was in the scene, I came to love other stuff. House is WAY more fun to spin than to listen to lol. My only ragrets are that I never really learned to dance - just acted kinda tough and head bobbed. well until I'd eat some E then I'd be like.. doing karate katas like some kind of fucking sphaghetti dropping austismo ninja.,

hell yea i celebrate the mans entire collection

>>714452785
yeah his shit is epic.

protip to people who can mix jungle on 1200s btw - shit can be really complex

This is music made for VERY large sound systems. Prolly won't make muchse sense to you newfages listening to it on your PC speakers.
>>
>>714454214
If you think that track is shitty, you are a fag, sorry. It is also a great track to introduce people to the style.
>>
>>714453879
Enjoy, you have about 25 years of European music history to catch up on now.

Worth pointing out that Jungle and Happy Hardcore were UK music scenes originally whereas Gabba was big in Amsterdam and eastern europe
>>
>>714454595
Bullshit, its was garbage and introduced all the gansta elements into the scene.... Very few big DJ's played that track back in the day.

wish i was a graphic designer in 1999 London, with enough basic knowledge of deleuze + guattari books to name-drop them when chatting up girls at my mate Sudsy's house parties, shelves full of japanese pop-culture vinyl figurines... just spending the afternoons in a haze of jungle records, mad spliffs, and Blairite malaise
>>
>>714454732
sure maybe, but I liked it, and it is what got me into jungle.

>>714454897
yeah that was my dream, but got hooked on H in 96 which sort of fucked that all up.

this came out 2014, what do you think? does it just end up as pointless pastiche when you try and reanimate the old sound?

The music itself is good, the recording is really bad and distorted. Nice synth pads.
