I've sided with the cops in ALL cases over the past couple of years that were "big time" mainstream news about "muhracism" and shit against the cops. They were all(mostly) justified in one manner or another.

HOWEVER, this officer did not have any kind of threat to his life or anyone around him for him to use deadly force. You cannot legally shoot a person in the back running away from you and then think you're going to get away with it. He also unloaded multiple rounds into the guy's back, and then moved the "taser" he claimed the man had over to his dead body.

Officer is done. His shit is going to fry

I'm going to be a bit of a cunt: yes, you can, depending on the circumstances.

I'm not saying that this is the case here at all but it's never cut and dry. If, for example. the dude getting shot had said "I'm going to come back and kill you" then legally that can be interpreted as a valid danger to the officer.

Again, not saying that's the case here at all, just saying that when you get the law involved in anything there are few decisions that are either morally correct or clear cut.

I think that cop deserves severe prosecution, plain and simple, but the law... the law may well find a way to legally disagree.
