Active duty, prior recruiter here. It really does depend on the paperwork. If you are going for a job that requires a security clearance then the paperwork you signed is binding because the government has invested money in you.

Other wise just tell the recruiter you dont want to go (pussy).

One really easy way to keep from going is to pop on a piss test.
Go to a tattoo shop and talk to the artist, Tell him you dont want to go to boot camp and you need to fail the wiz quiz. 90% of the time they will smoke a joint with you. The recruiter will have to try to get a drug waiver (Almost impossible in less than a week).
