theres some legit facts pointing out that the earth is not round.
"The same heat engine that produces earthquakes is the driving force raising the world's great mountain ranges.
If this uplift did not take place, the relentless force of erosion would reduce the Earth's landscape to a single flat plane. "
http://walrus.wr.usgs.gov/infobank/programs/html/school/moviepage/08.01.03.html

"Plane surveying assumes the earth is flat......Survey works up to 100 square miles (260 square kilometers ) are treated as plane"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surveying#Surveying_equipment

"abyssal plains cover more than 50% of the Earth’s surface.[1][2] They are among the flattest, smoothest and least explored regions on Earth.[3] "
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abyssal_plain

"Universal planisphere complete guidance and computer system.A planisphere for providing displays and effecting calculations in both astronomy and navigation and the method of operation thereof. The planisphere structure includes plurality of substantially circular, concentric, flat dials which are progressively larger in diameter toward a central, largest diameter dial on both sides of the central, largest diameter dial. The dials are pivotally mounted centrally and have both astronomy and navigation oriented scales as well as star and polar azimuthal equidistant projection maps thereon."
https://www.google.com/patents/US3858334

on stellar parallax to disprove planet motion:
"Being very difficult to measure, only about 60 stellar parallaxes had been obtained by the end of the 19th century, mostly by use of the filar micrometer. Accurate calculations of distance based on stellar parallax require a measurement of the distance from Earth to the Sun, now based on radar reflection off the surfaces of planets.[9]
The angles involved in these calculations are very small and thus difficult to measure."

are you aware of how either of those maps work? they are both called "projection" maps the first one is the Mercator projection. the reason it looks like the birds fly an akward triangle is due to the way the map distorts land mass to account for being flat.

on the "flat earth" map its seems much much strighter than it really is due to the way that it distorts land masses.

in actuality the path the birds take is as straight as it can be while still going to lands masses for breaks.

having most light and surface area is redundant since the supposed speed of light and distance between the tropics and the polar regions is very very small. its like comparing a heat lamps radiation against a molecule. A round earth with different temperatures except the middle remaining hot all the time because it remains in the sunlight doesn't make sense. ill also mention the antartic region is very different from the artic region, with antartica being the coldest region on the planet and having no abundance of life near it compared to the arctic despite receiving the same amount of light.

this guy talking about lateral adjustments for long distance shots. He is doing a firing solution for 1289 meters (1410 yards, 4230 feet, .8 of a mile).

At this distance, shooting directly North (for the maximum adjustment), it is barely .1mrad you adjust for, the minimum adjustment on 99.9% of mrad scopes.

So how large is .1mrad at 1410 yards?
(height_of_target / mrad) x 1,000 = 1410 yards

(x / .1) x 1,000 = 1410 yards
(x / .1) = 1.41 yards
x = 0,141 yards
x = 0,423 feet
x = 5.076 inches
since .1mrad is the lowest adjustment most scopes can make, you will have to take it into account with other lateral adjustments (rounding up) or very slightly holding over on your target.
shooting at 1400 yards you have lost a TON of bullet energy, however at shooting this distance the user would be employing .338lapua at the smallest (still 785 ft/lbs of energy at 1500yards), and 750gr 50BMG at the largest (a wopping 3900 ft/lbs at 1500 yards) are still going to be fatal with a grazing shot.

Actually,no,you're so fat that your hands are probably lined with fat themselves,so..my mistake.
Either way,shitty bait thread.
0.1/10 got me to reply.

personally, I think that just makes a word salad that the nutcase made up.
>>
How does gravity work on a flat planet?
>>
>>713597112
Sorry in my native language, race and species are interchangeable. I do agree with you, we're the same species since we can all procreate and have fertile offspring, but there are differences that we could consider racial. I hope that makes my stance clearer.

>>713580113
why does the sun only shine in such a small area?

Do you think it's a big flashlight?
>>
>>713597230
it makes a sphere
earth is a sphere
coincidence?
>>
>>713580659
If there the same image then why are they at different angles
>>
>>713580757
Someone doesn't understand how the human eye works
>>
>>713597264
There is no way that we will ever see eye to eye as a single species with things like borders, racial tension, religious tension, and unequal resources.
>>
>>713597236
these flatfags think that gravity doesn't exist, which is why the flat earth theory makes sense to them.

>center of gravity
>a thin shell

That's not how the center of mass works. Besides, there's no gravity inside a hollow sphere. We'd just drift.
>>
>>713597541
I tend to agree. That is why I asked if the church should be an institution that divided people.
>>
>>713597678
not true. only if you were at the center would you experience a 0 grav effect.

with enough mass you could stand on the inside of a sphere
>>
>>713587583

Yes.
>>
>>713580113
Okay let's say you're right and the earth is flat why would the old governments put shit tons of money into people trying to figure out if it's round only to have our governments spend shit tons of money to hide that it's flat what do they gain from this
>>
>>713584181
Columbus was white well Italian white so not fully

Nope. Look up Gauss's theorem.

Why does islam get a one islam says it's flat and round depending on what you get out of the Quran

>1. Wouldn't oil and other resources also be scarce on a flat earth?
no. it would prove that fossil fuels is just a term to profit from scarcity and includes inaccurate carbon dating.

>2. How does global warming factor into the debate other than the word global?
goes along with the idea of raising prices on "fuel efficient" automobiles, taxes on non efficiency and more expansion on government control of new enterprises, which will make it harder for people to attain wealth in the manufacturing industry., cuts jobs and companies can move plants to places that are not in corporate control. also makes it harder for people to strike against corporations if there is no plants that make resources nearby.

3. Are you claiming that scientists are allowing people to make shit up, with no proof to get grants?
yes. essential proof can be mathematical formulas to observable phenomena that can be explained many ways.

>4. Isn't it the responsibility of the person who claims that a thing exists to prove it? As far as I see it, scientists are trying to show how the universe works, not trying to disprove god.
today's textbooks push for evolution and non creationism as fact.

>5.What is bad about recognizing that all humans are the same race, in spite of their superficial differences? Should the church be an institution to divide people?
no comment

6. While multiculturalism and miscegenation can have negative effects, they don't apply to all instances of those things. Why shouldn't people work together across the world, no matter what shape it is?
proving a creator for all the earth to see would dismantle all endeavors of sciences related towards space exploration and the military industrial complex. You have no idea how powerful the belief is.
>7. What would be the benefit of being the center of the universe and why would alien life existing be a bad thing?
alien life as a lie is a misleading way to unite humanity over being created in THE image.
>>
>>713597769
You still experience gravity between two objects even if you're at the center of mass of another object.
>>
Whats happens in flat warth if i walk straight?
>>
>>713598079
Forget the race part then. Do you believe the church should be a dividing institution?
>>
>>713598086
Don't start with that shit. Everyone knows there is no such thing as 0 grav. When we talk about 0grav we mean gravity is cancelled out by another force. like a plane stalling in an upward climb. or astronauts orbiting the earth.
>>
>>713597236
things of greater mass go down and things of less mass go up. Just like explaining WHY dna works a certain way and not the other.
>>
>apples are spheres
>cocos are spheres
>oranges are speheres

I know
>>

>Do you believe the church should be a dividing institution?
dont you think its divided enough?
>>
>>713598265
Except gravity is an attraction to a single point so a planar celestial body can't exist.
>>
The fact that you can see farther from higher up is proof the earth is round. /thread.
>>
>>713598424
did I fucking say anything about flat earth. No. I was talking about a hypothetical hollow sphere of unknown size or density.
>>
>>713598424
>gravity is an attraction to a single point

hasnt been proven.

magnatism can attract shit to a single point and is stronger than the supposed gravity.

I see plenty of divisions within church institutions.
My question is more, if the church is the factor that keeps people divided, why do you consider it a good thing?
Cooperation between all nations and people would be a net benefit for everyone. So if the church is the thing standing in the way of this cooperation, why is it a good thing?
>>
>>713598656
never posted that the church is a good thing. i just acknoloedged a creator.

i could be muslim, hindu, a wiccan, ect.
>>
>>713598079
how do u know?
speculation
how come u have none?
they push it, cuz they have the evience for it
talk shit- get hit
how come theres division within the same religion? How come proving god doesnt exist for all wont end the division between all religions, by eliminating them?
but as a truth its not misleading. Does got have nipples, or navel? Why?
>>
>>713598601
but also has way shorter range, u fuck
>>
>>713598847
But you did say
>"getting rid of the church to unite all races into one race."
In the context you imply this is a bad thing, it doesn't matter which religion you're part of.
What matters is the implication that the church divides people and that stopping it from doing that is bad.
