I always like to comapre the introduction of a sentient race of humanoids in modern society to the introduction of aliens into society. We will eventually grow to accept it. the way I'm looking at doing it, the first generation ones will have been born human, willingly modified, I have a hard time believing you wouldn't be safe in a first world country.
