Well not really a valid argument when the rules don't allow it ( use of DOHC heads and turbo ), also the use of nitro means there is more relevance in being able to rebuild the engine quickly with simple parts rather than outright power ( most of the engine parts end up in the bin every run or 2). Top fuel cars can almost never get all the power to the ground anyway, its all about the clutch and power curve to get traction.
