Alright /b/, this is an old games thread, post games that make you feel nostalgia.
if someone else has played this game, please tell me why it has such shit reviews
First game I got realy hooked on. Worn out a Sidewinder Digital joystick with this and Jane's flighsims.
Still try playing this on occasion
Another one, fucking terrified of that clown but still played it with my neighbor anyways
Heart of Darkness.
Good 2D sidescroller.
Red Baron and the upgrade to Red Baron 3d. Started my love of Video games as well as History lol
I remember playing this on LAN with my cousin so much.
You know, I've honestly thought about writing up and trying to scrape together a crew to make a spiritual sequel to this shit.
Just imagine: Throw in a bit where you get to choose your squadmembers, and actually make each one have strengths and weaknesses instead of being reskinned clones (heh) of each other. Put emphasis on actual strategical thinking, give good personalities to the characters, and bam.
This was a pretty fun game when I was a kid
Rare soviet clone of pocket nintendo
>This is what started it all for me.
I'm sorry for you.
It would take until DCS Black Shark before we got anything that could compete.
I was 18 when it came out
Actually have it installed on my computer but nobody plays anymore
first time i ever felt the pay off for a speed run was worth it.
I harboured the same thought when i saw that post. My first game was streets of rage for mega drive
that would be fucking rad, it's a shame that lucasarts is gone because the fact that they made so many different genres of star wars games was awesome. Now we just have ea making what they think the people want in the easiest way... Oh well
The Metal gear series (1-3), Devil may cry, Ico, and Ratchet and clank
This is my first video game. Got it the same day I got an NES with Super Mario/Duck Hunt
I was always more of a no mercy guy but I loved both
this game is fucking shit
i never managed to escape the shire because of the nazgul
For a modern fixed wing take made by one of the main developers behind Jane's Longbow I/II, see Strike Fighters 2. From very early 50's jets, century series, Mysterie and Hawker Hunter to the F-14 and F-16, with the F-4 as the jewel of the crown.
It's everything the nineties/early millennium survey sims should have been. Nostalgia guaranteed.
>not knowing what a fingerbox is
come on, get with the times Anon
Deth karz was the absolute best racing game i have ever played
Motherfucking Dungeon Siege
This whole WoD flop (and wow after cata in general), Nostalrius and #youthinkyoudobutyoudon't thing makes me so sad.
I stopped playing in early cata, wish I knew about Nostalrius earlier, would have loved to play it.
WoW used to be so great
If anyone knows the name of the game that i'm about to describe i'll be like...totally stoked 'n' shit, it goes a little something like this:
You're on a different, inhabited planet, you play as a flying vehicle, your job is to go around and collect coloured balls that form a trail behind your spacecar as you collect them.
Most of the terrain has this lightish brown colour to it.
That's all i know, if you know the name, reply pls <3
best game ever. so sad i have no one to play with :(
No idea what the game is called but it went something like this:
You basically controlled robots and you had a ball of some sort, you also had skates so you skated around and tried to score on eachother.
That's all I remember
Have it installed, also have the disk and manual. Good fucking shit right here
Anyone played this as a kid? Gave me loads of fucking feels
Ok I found the robot game I was talking about, it was Hyperblade
Also this. Even have it on PS1
I was playing this with my older brother some weeks ago after I think about 10 years... We just wanted to play a while and ended up really excited playing the whole game until late night. I never thought nostalgia could even feel nice, but damn that night was amazing
I remember playing this with my brother, in multiplayer there was some cool glitch, if you used the knife and meanwhile equipped the sniper you could use it just like a sword! It was really funny to use it kek
Just doin' a nostalgia trip
>Baldurs Gate 1
>Baldurs Gate 2
>Neverwinter Nights 1
>Neverwinter Nights 2
Currently finishing Fallout 2, feels good
this + Bloodlines. Good times.
This is my first game, played it when I was 4
I was like 8 and I bought this game. I could barely speak English at the time. I started the game and couldn't even do the tutorial. I went back to the shop saying the game was broken. They took it for checking and I never got it back.
Giants Citizen Kabuto. Fucking weird but funny game.
Don't know how this hasn't gotten a reply, but it's the only game I've ever played where you actually feel like you're in control of how you swing your lightsaber. Every direction does something different. If it weren't for KOTOR, this would be the greatest Star Wars game ever made.
Super mario bros 3
Mario kart snes
Crash bandicot (not sure on that spelling so here is a preemptive fuck you.)
Table top pacman machines
Mortal kombat 1, 2, 3, and 3 ultimate.
Original street fighter 2
Gran turismo 2
Black and white
Risk (90s pc version and sega genesis version)
Quake, particularly online quake
That game that was popular in school where you are a fish the eats other fish to get bigger. Was normally on school computers along with oregon trail.
Sonic 2, sonic and knuckles, the combo, sonic spinball, sonic 3d blast, and the mini game you could get when you put a random cartridge in sonic and knuckles.
Silver surfer nes. As much shit as people talk about that game i actually loved it and came close to beating it once.
Friday the 13th on nes
Goonies on nes
Logans alley or hogans alley on nes
Yu gi oh forbidden memories
Budokai 1 and 2
Kh 1 and 2
Dukes of hazard ps1
Tony hawk 1, 2, and 3
Matt hoffman 1
Twisted metal 3 (first one i got my hands on)
Ok, I'm done.
try this pearl : chop of any, like ANY part of your enemy and use it as shield/weapon - sometimes food lol. you could spend hours befor even starting the game to set up movement-patterns for your arm and steps to go by it etc.
Tibia, played from 2005-2008 on libera.
So much time spent on this game, yet for some reason I was only ever able to really get into the original. No other game in the series would appeal to me, except when the PS3 one came around.
