A bunch of information was also released about the company and its private history. For example, one of the documents showed that Sony had thought about taking legal action against Bill Murray for being so uncooperative with Ghostbusters 3.
A bunch of their staff also had their computers hacked. This image was flashing on their screens telling them to watch their backs, and that if the movie was released a few theaters would have a "Christmas surprise akin to 9/11". A bunch of people were shaken up about it and a few theaters bailed out showing the film. Sony gave permission to other theaters that they could opt out if they wanted, and after they thought about it they decided to pull the movie altogether.
