i'm thinking of getting a new computer.
is this a good one?
he should probably up the ram to 64k though.
make it future proof
Dude, that thing is SWEET!
Depends on what games you want to play on it. Doom and Quake will run fine, Quake II might suffer a bit of framerate loss, but if you want to play Unreal Tournament or Counter-Strike you'll need to turn down some of the graphics.
i had some nigger who wanted the sims 3 to run on her gx 270.
>not having a ThinkPad W700ds with a Wacom digitizer, 17" screen an a 11" pull out screen
i have a working one that i saved. still got win95 running on it.
that pull out screen is pretty sweet.
>gonna do a dump of muh clunkpads
that has got to be the most advance piece of hardware i have ever seen.
yep. nice to see you again.
Nah I lied. Don't feel like shitting up /b/
>tfw I don't have this amazing laptop
I only have an x61t
Sweet. You too. Been hoping to see you for a sauce.
If only I could feel this glorious laptop open with my own hands
OH GOD MY EYES! WHO WOULD MAKE SUCH A SITE!? FUCK!
Thank you though. Style matches.
My gf has an old ass Toshiba I can get pics of. It's not a chinkpad, but it's clunky if you're interested.
Only if it looks like pic related
So, you mean it looks more like this?
Was that on /b/ or elsewhere?
Damn. Nah, this is like, 95 era if I had to guess. One of the semi portable yet still 10 pounds with access to the innards through the keyboard. I'll show you soon.
Posting another gif of this awesome laptop that >>559969968 has
my god I remember using one of those. My friend wrote "skillet wing zero" on it in permanent marker.
one of my customers gave me one. it was apparently his kid's computer. his teen daughter had saved a bunch of pics of michael jackson.
it was weird when i brought it back online for the first time in years. MJ greeted me on the desktop.
I suppose computers are like time capsules in a sense. Imagine someone uncovering your computer in a hundred years.
"It seemed people in this era worshipped a chickun deity..."
Oh yes, like carrying a cinder block around. How convinient. Not to mention trackpoint only. Those were the days, huh
There. I plan to fix it up with some penguin power because it's a fucking tank and I have nothing better to work on.
Haha, yeah. Gotta love old people. Are they relatively easy for someone who's done it years ago and built desktops?
It's a brick alright. I missed the nipple when they added track pads. Can't figure out why, tbh
you might fuck things up and the marines would have never raised the flag over vientam!
the thing about old laptops is that they get real brittle. so be careful taking it apart if you have to.
but yeah, standard consumer grade laptop. easy to work on.
check out what some old lady sent me. runs win 3.1. the old dell is in the background, and other office junk.
Well that's, like, you're opinion man. Also, it could have just been a really used and worn thinkpad.
Trackpoints are actually a little more ergonomic because the distance between the trackpoint and clicker fit most people's hands better
AS PC's go the Dell optiplex was a great system.
A 233Mhx pentium was able to be upgraded all the way up to an athelon before one had to replace the power supply. But it is far beyond 2001 now and probably worth investing a bit of time to find modern hardware try googling Tom's hardware unless you are a troll!
i had the 60 and the 120. blindingly fast for the time, everyone was still on 486. the look on the other nerds faces when i was like, well i got a pentium. mmm priceless. those smug pricks. but yeah, worst pentium ever, since first is usually worst.
Why would we want to kill the beloved first fuhrer of the thousand year reich? Only a Jew would want to do that... if there were any left.
Good to know. That thing looks like a heap, I'm not even sure what OS is on this one. Might crush those Macs, no loss.
Maybe that was it. I dunno, I was like 10. I remember they move farther with less effort. Also less accuracy in hindsight.
the scootalocaust did nothing wrong
under it is a freebie macbook pro. works great but the charger died. and the bottom one is actually an hp, but that model was designed to look like the mac so easy mistake to make.
I wish they'd quit doing that. Apple doesn't need a bigger ego.
I'm about to leave you guys to it. Just out of curiosity though, did you hijack this thread or am I missing a chickun in the OP? OR does namesync even work in the catalog/Frontpage?
