Depends on what games you want to play on it. Doom and Quake will run fine, Quake II might suffer a bit of framerate loss, but if you want to play Unreal Tournament or Counter-Strike you'll need to turn down some of the graphics.

AS PC's go the Dell optiplex was a great system.

A 233Mhx pentium was able to be upgraded all the way up to an athelon before one had to replace the power supply. But it is far beyond 2001 now and probably worth investing a bit of time to find modern hardware try googling Tom's hardware unless you are a troll!
