It appeals to people who don't want to share their board with mandrama, in the same way /co/ doesn't want /mlp/ shit, and it appeals to wrestling fans as well who want a dedicated board.

Wrestling really doesn't fit anywhere, it could be /tv/ but not really. It could be /sp/ but not really, /asp/ is better suited to other smaller/alternative sports than it is wrestling, having mandrama to dominate it is just gonna prevent the board from being used for any of that stuff.
