Go to Goodwill, get a driver or wood for $4 and go nuts at the driving range. Don't worry if you suck. I broke my club on my first swing last time. I had hit the ground a bunch of times on the previous visit. I fucking died laughing when I saw the head of the club flying onto the range. Luckily my friend entrusted me with one of his clubs, and I finished off the bucket of balls without incident.

this. it's good to have clubs you can go to town on. you don't want to bend your $200 carbon driver because you dont know what your doing. you really only need clubs if you are playing for a lot of money. you don't need to spend 3k to win a hundred bucks off your friends.
