Except it was apparently hard as shit to bump on and the guys hated them because they were hell on their bodies. Guys were pretty vocal about this too for a long time.
Then Vince and Shane get more involved physically to the point of doing actual matches and whaddya know? Suddenly all those old hard ass rings finally get swapped out for new softer rings that were easier to bump on and not so painful.
