Let's say we have an exceptional boxer. Not particularly legendary, just very skilled at boxing.
What martial art styles would he have trouble beating?

>not particularly legendary
Then why post the GOAT boxer ?
>>3097662
Because this is a hypothetical scenario and you just instinctively went "that's Mike Tyson, why is he posted here"
>>3097662
That's not GGG
>>3097662
/pol/ is extremely ass blasted about Tyson and Floyd tonight for some reason.

Anything that will knock them on their ass.

tyson probably couldn't beat a prime fedor or a prime couture in a NHB fight, both of whom are in his weight class
so wrestling/sambo/kickboxing (or MMA for short), will give the boxer a challenge in a real fight
>>3097711
Pretty much this. It would be awesome to see prime Tyson land a hook or uppercut on someone with mma gloves though.
>>3097659
I mean if some wrestler just tried to shoot on Tyson and take him down I can't imagine it would be difficult, at all, for Tyson to knock him the fuck out
>>3097718
Nope

>hands move faster in slow motion than mine do in real life
>>3097730
Yep that's Tyson in his prime. Speed, defense, power.

Was mike tyson actually good? I heard he was always fed jobbers and when he fought ME he got his ass whooped.
>>3098184
Yes he was actually good. His power made up for his lack of grace (which he still had some tbf).
When people got in the ring with him they legitimately thought they might die. And a few of his fights it was painfully obvious that the guy fighting him was absolutely terrified of being hit full force so at the slightest touch they'd go down.
Tyson's style of boxing would probably translate the best outside of boxing because he actually aimed to knock out or hurt people, not score points like Mayweather. However any boxer would get rolled by a Martial Artist trained in almost anything. They use their entire body as a weapon, boxing is a sport, with points and regulations. There's no comparing.
>>3097659
this really depends on the rules of the format,
if a format doesn't allow striking (ex. judo) allows kicking (ex. karate), is weapon based (ex. kendo/escrima) that boxing skill may not count for much.
personally, i bet could take mike Tyson in a gunfight.
>>3097659
literally any martial art would beat him. fucking aikido or kung fu would win.
boxing = shit tier unless you have wrestling and grappling to back it up with
>>3097726
Did he died?
>>3098458
>aikido

Kicks>Fists>Grappling>Fists
I think that's how it goes in fire emblem

Wrestling?
Hard to punch a guy in the face when he just shoots in on you.
