The people who can talk to Vince out of this new crop of superstars are the ones getting pushed. It's almost like regardless of your skill level if you seem intimidated by your boss and you're in the entertainment industry they tend to forget about you.

Dean, Usos, Nia, Cass, Neville, Elias, Jinder, Carmella, Sheamus, and New Day... It really shouldn't be this hard to talk to Vince now. He's much older and mellow now. Just entertain his ramblings of old pop culture shit like Great Balls of Fire and you'll be fine.

Cody was released so he could scout the indies and look at the current landscape of wrestling for HHH and Vince as the WWE appears to be going thru problems and has to downsize in production. He's just getting the added benefit of gaining credibility from fans worldwide he never had before and proving he can be a low-key draw.

He'll be rewarded for his service in the long run when he returns to the WWE in the summer of 2020 and winning the WWE Title at SummerSlam a month and a half later.

Dean has always been protected to a degree, yes, but in terms of his booking it doesn't seem like he ever had any control and was booked to shit besides luckily getting a title run.

Jericho had a long top of the card career before coming back to put people over in past years. Dean shouldn't be doing that in what should be the peak of his career.

I think there are people higher-ups like even if thy are booked like shit, but they still dont have any control of their direction as of late, thy get somewhat protected and thrown bones but inbetween that everything is atrocious.

Only the shit that seems to be HHH's pet project on the main roster is protected. The Shield was the last thing and the best booked thing, including Seth's heel run where he actually had a run against Cena, Lesnar, Sting etc.. and came out on top. Since that there is nobody I could rely on to have a decent run with anything or win a series of matches at fucking all while not embarrassing themselves in some idiotic storyline or mini-gimmick besides AJ Styles who still had to survive Ellsworth and thank the Gods he did.

Still don't know why Vince likes him, he doesn't even seem like the type to talk to Vince or ask for anything but he carries himself like a man and like a star do maybe it's that...
