Cena doesn't get a verbatim script. Obviously the segment was scripted to have Cena address certain points (otherwise why would they even allow the segment to air), but Romanetty looking like a flustered idiot was obviously not intentional. This is obvious by how many times Cena's been in this position before. Punk, Bryan, The Rock, Ambrose, Styles, and Owens all had similar segments with Cena and they all looked better coming out of it.

The amount of autism itt. The shoot style promo was obviously scripted but little bits were not, like when cena interrupted reigns and told him to remember his lines. Both were given guidelines on what to do but gave cena the responsibility of adding his own touch to make it feel organic. It's classic ae style promo.
