The problem is lazy, boring, repetitive writing, simple as that. They had a way of writing in the Attitude era that allowed one trick ponies and people with shallow gimmicks to remain over, by placing them in different situations and seeing how their shtick fit in. Too Cool were over for like 2 years. Kaientai were fucking over and they never won a match. The writers today just don't have enough creativity or freedom. Every segment is either an in-ring promo followed by a interruption, or a backstage interview in front of a curtain with some brown woman. It's formulaic, everything looks and feels identical.

Damn, i had a similar experience. I saw Big Cass at a grocery store in St. Petersburg, FL . I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

He feuds with another big guy and gets his ass kicked. One day he gets seriously injured. He still wants to fight but can't, cause the "injury". So he decides to get someone to fight for him. On some pay per view, Enzo helps his wrestler win by being ringside and interfering. Then just keep him as a manager that fights occasionally.

Hell, he could bring back Big Cass to fight for him when he recovers from his injury.
