He's not lazy. His body is broken for all the years in NJPW.

He didn't betray New Japan, he had done everything there was to do there and was never going to surpass Tana. What he did was go to a place where he doesn't have to work as hard to get over because the wrestling standard is lower. And he can get paid huge money while he's still physically able to work the WWE schedule. He did what was best for his family and his kids.
