WWE is a high profile company, and a publicly traded one too. They pretty much have to keep their talent as healthy as possible, because it is, as Vince himself would say, best for business.

There's still tons of Roid heads on the Indies, but WWE won't touch that shit for the most part.

Interesting side note though, part timers are not subject to the wellness policy rules. That's why people like HHH, Cena, The Rock, and Lesnar look blown up to hell a lot of the time.

If a guy is big and know how to throw a punch, he goes to boxing or UFC for becoming rich. Only a geek is stupid enough for trying a career on wrestling knowing he won't have a health insurance, won't be signed as a full-time worker and he won't have an union.

I was listening to a podcast where a retired wrassler, I forget who, was talking about the locker room atmosphere. He thought it's weird how they're all good friends now, compared to his time when people would legitimately stab each other in the back to get ahead and haze each other and generally have a rougher atmosphere. "Back in the day", it was standard for people to look and act like neanderthals because there was fuck all else to do for entertainment besides playing sports and fuck all else to do for a job besides blue collar, industrial shit.

Now we have advanced technology that doesn't take up an entire room and live in a post-industrial society.
