I think the whole idea of a "wrestling reporter" is stupid because when you watch wrestling you should get surprised once in a while. Be it a debut, a storyline/feud, or a return. I never read any of Metlzer's/others shit directly but because some people on /asp/ are obsessed with it I inevitably get spoiled when I didn't want to be.

Wrestling is a bit different spectrum than your standard TV show (mostly because of live crowds, and the fact that they actually perform live). How would you feel if you started watching a new TV show and suddenly you get spoiled out of nowhere with what happens a few episodes later, especially if it's something big?

I mean, it'd suck, but I would only be in a situation to be exposed to a leak or a spoiler if I went to a place where that kind of hardcore discussion is prominent. You don't see that kind of thing super often with TV shows but with movies and video games, leaked copies can get out any number of ways and the whole thing can be spoiled WAY before the release date. If I go on /v/ and see a new game get spoiled, part of me is gonna be like "well fuck you, guy who posted it", but I'm also gonna be like well that's kinda the inherent risk of browsing that place.

And anyway, wrestling reporting isn't just spoilers. For example, Meltzer reports on a lot more than just what's going to be happening in WWE. Personally I like to read the reporting but when it comes time for a PPV and stuff like betting money comes in I try to tune it out.
