the way i see the plans is they have given themselves options depending on how things go.

so if they really want to give Cass (another?) singles run, they can do that. then, if (when?) that fails they can have the feud go on with Cass beating Enzo for a few matches, and then eventually Enzo will finally win, proving Cass doesn't just carry him, it will open his eyes and he will take Enzo back.

Cass' heel promo work isn't like the absolute worst thing ever. its bad, but better than him failing to keep up as a face with Enzo, and just sort of being there. hell, big show showed better chemistry as the big bro who is a bit disgruntled by you, but still has your back.

the problem with that its the easy way out, it's easier to be a heel, doesn't really improve anything for Cass except make it easier, and hes still completely average at it. enzo and cass were still hugely over, i think they just wanted to spice it up and eventually put them back together.
