I don't regularly have time to read /asp/ or wrestling news from anywhere any more (actually this applies to all my interests lately. I'm switching to radio and podcasts for information). So what are the best podcasts to stay abreast of wrestling?
I'm already subbed to Austin's two. Comfy as fuck, but the drawback is he's extremely careful keep his WWE criticism very mild. On the other hand I tried Vince Russo, who although has no such problem, is horrible to listen to. His manner of speaking, voice and accent are abrasive, and the podcast is just an arena to play out IRL feuds with fellow former wrestling people.
Are there any podcasts that are critical and in depth but are actually nice to listen to?
This is probably the worse place to ask
Jim Cornette might be unlikeable to some but he talks about wrestling history sometimes which can be fascinating.

Solomonster Sounds Off.
He's usually pretty direct and to the point and intelligent.
I like Wrestling Soup and Don Tony/Kevin Castle but a lot of times lately they barely fucking talk about wrestling and go on asinine rants about bullshit
worked into a shoot podcast
I like the art of wrestling with colt cabana he is an indy flippy kike but I do enjoy hearing the backstory for the wrestlers and how they came into the profession
Cornettes podcast is good, I also like Inside the Ropes
>>2853708
New Japan Purocast is a very comfy podcast
>>2853708
WOR (obviously)
Jim Cornette Experience (think for yourself, don't just be a drone and repeat his opinions)
Austin, Jericho, many of the other wrestler hosted podcasts are guest dependent imo.
Solomonster
Don't tony and Kevin castle
Wrestlingsoup
>>2853959
>colt cabana
>flippy
dude's finisher is a fucking boston crab, good job on spouting buzzwords you have no clue the meaning of
>Vince Russo The Brand ( for the keks of him shitting on smarks)
>Steve Austin Unleashed
>Talk Is Jericho (only when he has good guests)
>The Ross Report
>he listens to wrestling podcasts
GET A FUCKING LIFE
>>2853708
Pw torch, specifically Todd Martin
>>2856595
You lurk on asp. That's much worse
the /asp/ podcast of course
>>2853708
I still think the Don Tony and Kevin Castle show is the best wrestling podcast out there even if Don Tony hams it up too much.
Avoid Wrestling Soup, it is getting progressively worse every episode. All they talk about is Trump, porn, and the occasional discussion how Joey Numbas' life is a mess.
Solomonster is the biggest SJW wrestling fan I have ever heard.
>>2853708
May not be the best out there, but Live Audio Wrestling is nit bad. Not too big of a fan of the Sunday show, but Pollack and Ting are pretty good.
Killing The Town With Storm and Cyrus is Great
If you dont listen to edge and Christian kill yourself
The Lapsed Fan, my nigga.
Only answer.
They just did an 11-hour podcast series on the Benoit murders alone. 4-6 hour reviews of every Mania and Starrcade ever. Fucking hilarious show. Don't waste your time with other faggot casts.
OP here.
Ok so I've subbed to all the ones you guys have mentioned here.
Listened to a JR one. It was alright, so I'll check out a few more and decide in time.
Started listening to a Jim Cornette one - I'm 10 minutes in and can't take it any more. It's just like Vince Russo's. Abrasive gossip and bitchiness. Just an arena for beef between these nobodies. He may see himself and Russo as diametrically opposed, but they're two sides of the same coin. I wanna hear about wrestling, not these guys' circlejerk ego battles. Awful.
>>2858583
But holy shit, so far this one is a gem. You weren't lying, son. Just looking at the list of their reviews had me salivating. Now I'm a mere 20 minutes into the 8.5 hour (lmao) Invasion review and I'm already dying. This Vince impression is on point. These guys are just as jaded as I am with WWE. There's so much material here. This is gonna fulfill my podcast needs for a LONG time I think. Thank you bro.

Listen to the SummerSlam '92 episode. It's fucking hilarious.
Wrestling Observer Live w/ Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer
Youtube: Rassslin' Rantin', Showbuckle, Real Neat Puro
If it's news you're after Going In Raw is a must, most of the shows with wrestlers as host is usually just them talking about themselves, having said that xpac's is pretty good as he always talks about what's gone on in the weeks WWE shows
>>2853708
The only correct answer is CONVERSATION WITH THE BIG GUY w. RYBACK & PAT BUCK!
>>2860265
Hi Pat and / or Ryback. Just buy a banner instead of shilling your podcas!
>>2860233
Cornette is good if you want a perspective of what wrestling was up till 97.
He's a hypocrite with what he says though as he basically started shoot interviews so he can fuck off with his killing the business shtick.
He has some really nice stories about the territories though, but you have to listen to at least 30 minutes of shitting on people to get to it.
I listen to the 6:05 Superpodcast hosted by Brian Last who is the co-host on Jim Cornette's podcast. It's pretty good but they only talk about old wrestling stuff and nothing current. Guests are hit or miss.
If you want to hear a real butthurt twat whine about how bad WWE is with occasionally funny song parodies and banter you could check ouy Smart Wrestling Fan.
I also like Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, who has been appearing on PPV pre-shows and post shows, including last nights PPV.

>I tried Vince Russo, who although has no such problem, is horrible to listen to. His manner of speaking, voice and accent are abrasive, and the podcast is just an arena to play out IRL feuds with fellow former wrestling people.
BRO I SWEAR ON MY CHILDREN! I LOVE THE WRESTLING BUSSINESS BUT THIS IS NOT WRESTLING...THIS IS ENTERTAINMENT BRO! YOU GOTTA MAKE IT ENTERTAINING BRO.
>>2860265
>Sure
>no mention of konnan's podcast with crazy disco inferno
ORALE HERMANOS
>>2860328
Konnan really loves to dish all sorts of shit in his podcasts.

I AM A WRI-TER, OKAY BRO? AND BRO, YOU'LL APPRECIATE THIS BRO....BRO, TL HOPPUH....DA GOON....OKAY BRO?
>>2853708
Steve and Larson's Going in RAW.
Edge and Christian's podcast is pretty good. They're super pro WWE though. So they love every decision that gets made.
>>2853708
Big Guy
Cornette, despite his shitty co-host
Prichard
Booking the Territory
Don Tony/Kevin Castle
>>2858583
These ones are just too long for me.
Instead of watching of the shows, I'll frequently listen to Review-A-Raw and Review-A-Smackdown from the Live Audio Wrestling network.
They spend about 15 minutes talking about their personal lives at the beginning, bug if you skip that it's about 40 minutes of recap and reaction. Their takes are measured and thoughtful.
>>2864853
But John Pollock is a massive cuck and his improv stories are shit.
>>2860233
You are so welcome, my guy. Welcome to the Lapsed Brotherhood. Make sure you go to the show's YouTube channel and watch the Stone Cold Podcast Interview with "Vince".
>>2864853
I want to hate these two but like the show very much.
nothing beats meltz though, boys
>>2868088
Agnew is the shitty one who does improv
>>2858583
Muh nigga right here
Checked out The Lapsed Fan today and am really diggin it so far. Gives me something new to listen to at my wagecuck gig.
>>2868228
Their 3 part Benoit retrospective is amazing
