I want to get into NJPW but don't know where to start. Any suggestions? Also, how does NJPW differ from the WWE. Is there anything I need to know going into this?
I just started somewhere and worked my way back. But I heard 2013 Wrestle Kingdom is a good beginning, with the Tanahashi vs Okada saga.

Watch matches on DailyMotion: Omega vs Naito from G1 last year, Okada vs Marufuji (G1 match first then their match at King of Pro Wrestling) from last year.
If you like those, get a subscription to NJPW World (they have an English option on their site now so it's easy to navigate).
Hey dork, just watch tonight's show. It begins in 6 hours at 8 PM EST to 12 AM EST, they're broadcasting live from Los Angeles, entirely in english on Axs.TV. If you don't have Axs, we'll be posting streams for you. And see if that's your cup of tea.

You're better off starting at WK 6 in 2012 to get the full picture of that feud. These videos are a great companion piece to their feud aswell.

If you just want to get into what's going on right now just start from Wrestle Kingdom 11 this year, then the two New Beginning shows in Feburary, Sakura Genesis in April and Dominion in June. That's essentially the same as keeping up with WWE via the big 5 PPVs.
Just tune into tonight's show, mate.
Worry about the essentials after this weekend. Don't over saturate yourself on the product.

Their matches are long. Watching NJPW is a marathon, not a sprint

>Their matches are long.
only their upper/card main events go beyond 20mins. and more often than not they make good with the time

Long by E-drone standards

After watching Zayn vs. Nakamura, I looked up AJ Styles vs. Nakamura at Wrestle Kingdom 10. After watching a few matches that were either rated high by Big Baller Meltzer or had recognizable names, I started following the big shows. I use watchwrestling.uno

Damn this guy is based as fuck
If I subscribe to NJPW World do they show the live events there like WWE does on their network? Like would I be able to watch tonight's event live is what I'm asking.

NJPW World has all the events live but due to AXS TV showing the first day of the G-1 Special Live, the US is the only country where you can't see it live on NJPW World, but it will be put up tomorrow. Day 2 will be live for everybody on NJPW World.

Ah, okay thank you for the info anon. Think I'm going to start watching Jap rasslin' now. WWE has been terrible lately and I'm over the network need to cancel that shit.

There may be links to a stream of the first night here, but if you get NJPW World, just click the English option on the top and it's easy to navigate. It's month by month just like wwe network. I left wwe network two years ago, and NJPW's big events have always left me satisfied.
