I can see where Vince has reason to be paranoid, but to try to never have another massive crossover star because you don't want to get burned is short-sighted when stars are what drive the biz and always have been. WWE might have a chance at being the draw if they were well booked and had good scripting but they don't.

Conor definitely has UFC over a barrel, especially with Ronda Rousey retired, but y'know what, they're still gonna make money off that fight and they still made an absolute SHIT TON of money with him last year.

You may not have Conor McGregor problems, but you're also don't have Conor McGregor money.

For right now, they have a workable platform where they just trundle along and make money off of licensing and TV revenue. We'll see where that's going next year when UFC's deal is up.
