NJPW-Drone here. CMLLfags I need your help. I want to transition from NJPW to CMLL. How do I start? What should I watch? Where do I watch CMLL?

CMLL has maybe one or two angles a year, and is mostly an aimless product. There is no sense of progression; guys win matches only to lose the next week; the gap between low to high card is astronomical, etc.
It's just not worth investing time into, IMO.
Mark Jindrak is the CMLL main champ because the previous champ along with his relatives got fired for being a dick backstage and destroying Ultimo Guerrero

That's how lucha libre works, it's just an athletic show for the family to enjoy.
tbqh one mid card match is more entertaining and with more quality than any njpw 6 stars and they don't even have the need for story telling

They do cross promotion so you might as well follow both...? I watch via YouTube.

CMLL livestreams shows three times a week, and anything not on youtube luchablog on twitter will occasionally link a TV stream to.
It's hard to jump right in with CMLL because there's no "Start watching here and go forward" to catch up with story lines, as most things aren't even covered during the actual wrestling shows. Most matches are 3v3 in a 2 out of three falls match, or 1v1 in a special 2 out of three falls match, and occasionally on cards they'll have a 1v1 "lightning match", which is just a one fall.
Like other people have said CMLL doesn't do stories, they do wrestling. Belts don't really matter, and anything storyline related might be a brief 2 minute promo or during their version of talking smack which airs on Wednesdays on youtube. My best advice is to just go to their youtube or to that cubsfan guy and start watching, and then if you see a wrestler you really like, you can start looking their stuff up from then on.
