Anyone else notice an increasing influence of Nipponese wrassling on WWE matches? This whole year there's been an increasing usage of knee strikes, forearm striking sequences, basement dropkicks, Shining Wizards, and reversal spots.
This little weeb in particular seems to love it, coming to the ring at WM33 dressed similarly to Okada and even using his signature dropkick more often.
ironically the most popular moves in japanese wrestling are lariats and dropkicks
meltzer mentioned that roman spot where he got buckled bombed and then no sold long enough to hit a superman punch is pretty japanese style too
roman did it in like 3 straight matches to big pops
No not really. WWE and American pro wrestling in general has always had sort of a yellow fever. Wrestlers have traditionally liked working in Japan, they usually get valuable experience that helps their pushes back stateside. There are exceptions of course, like Albert /Giant Bernard who went to NJPW after WWE and got over as fuck, then came back and kept being given really shit gimmicks.
Did they?
Yes and it's disgusting. Nobody wants to see all that "strong style" bullshit. It's just used to excuse crappy wrestlers with no technique. Wrestling is a work, want to see "stiff" garbage, watch MMA. This is why ratings are in the toilet.

She likes that style and wants to use it for her own matches. It sets her apart from the rest of the women, so why not?

The problem isn't WWE incorporating a little bit of Jap style wrasslin.
It's the Japs incorporating so much of the flippy shit. they're killing their """""""""credibility''''''''''''.

Literally none of the heavyweights do flips besides Kenny you dumb retard. Even then he only goes like 1-3 per match
>>2806884
The other guys don't flip because they know how to work and don't need to appease Meltzer and the smarks.
It's just a bad influence.

>Ricochet
Please try again.

The only Japs that do flippy shit are the ones who incorporate lucha moves. Blame Mexico, not Japan. Before Lanny Pofo, Terry Funk or Great Mutah could moonsault they had to see Mando Guerrero perform one.

Now I get what Blandy Orton was trying to say.
Roman no sell seth power bomb in the corner right into a superman punch double down and they both sell is straight out of japan

Gymnastics with a bit of wrestling sprinkled in. Feels heavily choreographed, but it's entertaining to see. It's the type of thing that should be saved for 2-4 specific wrestlers to do only when they face each other as one-upmanship. Which is what that was.

>Ricochet and Will Ospreay are Japanese
