David Benoit is a manager with the kayfabe strength of a referee, meaning any bump will knock him out. However the ghost of his murderer dad occasionally takes possession of David's body and lends him his strength and moveset. David can then no-sell all non-head related attacks and do all of his deceased father's moves, including the crippler crossface. A diving headbutt restores control of the body to David, so the ghost learns not to do it anymore. David has no idea this is happening to him and just thinks he has narcolepsy.
