>WWE in its worst shape in years
>Still more popular and relevant than all other wrestling promotions combined
why is wrestling like this?
Because when one promotion dies the others don't suddenly gain their fans.
Look no further than WCW's buyout. Only the most hardcore wrestling die hards make the switch, the others are lost to time. It takes true innovation to rise to the top.
Because no other promotions can get very good tv deals.

Because the ten-year-olds don't even know other wrestling promotions exist.

Can we please stop this meme? It's not fucking ten year old filling up the arena every Monday and Tuesday
>>2737558
No one is filling up arenas on Monday and Tuesdays. They tarp off the top section of the arenas and those haven't been filled since the Austin/Rock era.
WWE has decades of reputation behind it and is a well-known brand.
Unless a new competitor emerges -- an actual competitor -- wrestling will continue to dwindle in popular culture, for better or worse.

A challenger appears. It's live action anime so NJPW will bankrupt WWE over the next decade.
Because wrestling is really niche and a lot of people don't understand it. Most people think WWE is the only wrestling thing and that it's just some TV show, and can't wrap their minds around the idea of "minor leagues" for something that's fake.
