MGs have no real value unless you're in a squad. They're designed around having security while they lay down lines of fire. Their ability to have 4000-5000 rounds without having to reload also makes them pretty fierce. Honestly I also like the full auto only rule that applies to SAWs as it prevents speedshitting.

Here, in Russia - yes, they do. A lot of major events ban the use of high-cap mags for everything that is not a LMG/GPMG. The usual exception are guns that don't have midcaps at all, like M82 or some Thompsons.

There is some special zen shit it this, actually. To my big surprise I've discovered that the most rare guns are the most plain ones. One of the most rare guns I've seen around is a simple AKM with wooden furniture. Lots of 74s, lots of tacticool 10X-series AKs, romanian AKs are really popular here for some reason. Same with AR-series: you're not gonna see much of the ordinary M16A1/A2s, but there will always be some HK416/Mk18 mod 0/tacticool M4s and such.

Go for these if you want an authentic one (most "A1"s are not authentic and ruined by A2 lowers). 2nd hand TM "M16A1 VN" (XM16E1) are even cheaper, but have a proprietary frontset assembly, and have a full plastic receiver and can be a hassle to disassemble. The delta ring is in one piece with the upper receiver, the outer barrel is literally a metal pipe with the visible outer barrel stuck onto it, and it's sometimes prone to barrel wobble, unless you fix it with epoxy, did it myself, permanently remedied the issue. I can give you instructions on that if you want.

Got my hand on two cheap Cyma D.Eagle Aeps with broken batteries. Planning to get some 7.4v Lipos for them.

Milsim is short for military simulation. Some organizations take it more seriously than others. Some use the term to describe a big casual game and others are more strict. In the more strick approach you are expected to act somewhat realistically. This is important; only wear gear that your faction would wear. Nimh batteries are trash. I've had nicads back in the day that worked better and longer. Lipos should be used wherever possible. They do everything better than nimh and nicad. Lipo had the best of both worlds.

Help me /asp/, which goggles do you think are the best?
Practically (visibility, anti-fogging) and aesthetically (doesn't conflict with other headwear...etc.).

The only goggles I can think of are the ESS TurboFan series, but they are xbox hueg and I prefer if I used them for military work only. I might still get it, but I would like to know if there are any alternatives.

I get it, but there's a difference between simulating a military operation for fun and telling people you were in desert storm for free beer/to impress some girl. Does KJW do side insert M1911A1 C02 magazines? I have both a gas and a C02 magazine but I'd like the realistic side insert magazines that come with the KWC C02 1911. They don't have the huge lip on the bottom, and they are apparently much easier to use.

KJWs are limited to TM mags and KJW mags as far as I know. The huge lip is the only option for CO2 and the green gas mags are very inefficient on gas (Like every 1911 out there) unless you modify your gun. Recommend me a quality assault rifle in the 250-350 range. I have a CAG36C but I'm looking to swap it for something else. Hop-up works well enough, the trigger is hard as dicks though, you can easily spin it like it's single action.
Mine might have an issue which results in it not fully cycling if I don't pull the trigger or the hammer in one swift motion. I have to readjust the cylinder with my fingers so the hop-up chamber clicks in. It's not so bad once you understand when it happens, but if I press it awkwardly, or have a tired hand and try to dump it, it can jam. reloading is a chore to be honest, I'd rather go with a springer. It's a cool plinking toy. Just check if the cylinder cycles even if you gently pull the trigger on the copy you want to buy.
Also FPS is below 350 on power downs, thank fuck for that. It's still not the perfect airsoft revolver, but it's close.

Make sure you get the tanker hat to go over the balaclava for the complete look. I've often thought about going for a similar look myself, but I've never been bothered. I have considered a Soviet Afghanistan/Russian survivor look by combining a desert parka with desert goggles and an AK with a folding stock. I have a VC set up, never was quite as interested in the PAVN. It's not a perfect replica but it's good enough for me to skirmish in and I like it. One of the reasons I picked it is because the VC always interested me, it's a cheap and easy set up, and they used a lot of my favourite weapons. I tried a (free) public game once back in like 2011 and it was like 33% Russians, 33% active duty marines, and the remaining 33% were a mix of everything you typically see around European and American airsoft games (elite tryhards, autists, poorfag teenagers, chillbros, enthusiasts). Wasn't as much fun as just running around the backyard with friends who also just had basic gear and a chink aeg so I never went to another public game after that, then friends stopped having energy to meet up.

I watched a gopro video of a local event that happened recently and it looked like most people were either tryhards, chillbros and enthusiasts. I know you can't tell exactly what type of people are there from short, edited photage, but I didn't see anyone standing at attention or doing overly tactical maneuvers in game or holding a bloody custom beret, and less than 10% had an issued uniform on them so I guess the active duty audience had their battle boners die out. Looked fun and organised, and being able to afford shiny toys is a bad habit for me, hence why I got my interest drawn back in to it.

Main worry is that I'll be disappointed and wont be playing it much.

Flick your arm or snap a rubber band and that's essentially what it feels like. What sucks is that one guy who's a massive sadist and brings his 500 fps bbhose to games to spray down everyone for a good five seconds before moving on to the next guy.

As for deaths, it depend on the rules of the game. Generally pickup games will have you walk back to a respawn point and they you're back in the game. Game modes like TDM will have you sit out for the rest of the game, but that's generally a CQB game mode so they don't last long.
Milsim games generally work on the principle of medics. If you get hit, a medic has to come over and attach a flag or tourniquet to your shoulder to show that you've been revived. If you get downed again then you're dead dead and have to walk back to your team's FOB to be revived (Or in the case of MSW, you have to be carried back there).

Autism aside mandatory calling bang bang rules are stupid. It should be an offer by your opponent to not light your ass up at point blank with a gun just under the joule limit.
