>wrestler A talks shit about wrestler B in a 30 second promo for literally no reason
>wrestler A has a fight with wrestler B that night or wrestler B interrupts wrestler A's match for talking shit about him
>2 weeks later a PPV match
That and the 3 or 4 shitty promos leading up to the PPV, the only feud that felt real this year was Jericho and Owens/Haitch and Rollins. Coincidentally they both had months to prepare before their first PPV encounter. Everything else is too rushed before the first major fight happens in a PPV so the fight is underwhelming, it doesn't matter how many weeks after the PPV the guys still feud for because the feud wasn't great to start with.

First impressions for a feud is very important.

I actually just watched the match, HHH sold the shit out of Steiner's offense, Steiner got gassed and no sold HHH the whole time. By the end of the match Steiner was getting booed and HHH was getting cheers

Highway to Hell is the greatest WWE promo ever produced. Match was good, not great.

Steiner literally couldn't feel anything below his knees, he was only working because it contract was a do or drop ssituation at the time.

Its the reason he has denied multiple legends contracts and returns because of how they word their offers and treated him.
