boxing is way more brain-damaging than mma, since the only way to win in boxing is to knock out or punch a guy in the head more for points. and its 12 rounds and the gloves are giant, so your hands are well protected for throwing hundreds of punches.

mma ends a lot of times in submission, and a lot of it is grappling and low kicks, and the gloves are smaller so its easier to break your hand which makes head punching less effective
