Why do people care about flippy shit being unrealistic and improbable in a "sport" where Irish whips are a thing, no one bleeds from punches they don't block and people regularly break out of rear naked chokes?
Wrestling is theater. Your move power level has always been determined by overness and crowd reaction. The Rock's elbow drop started finishing matches when the fans reacted. Fans react to flips because they are impressive and therefore those moves are kayfabe powerful
Honestly it's just people shitposting. Everyone likes flippy shit.
I don't really see people getting mad over floppy shit unless it's just shitposting. It's mostly no-selling that people get mad about. Like flippy spots where they'll just keep trading big moves and getting up over and over

They're mad their favourites can't do them.
Personally I don't like pointless flippyshit. Wrestling is about theatrics, but when people are having a "match" that's more like a choreographed dance routine it's just stupid. Like a guy will be there doing flips for literally no reason and it just looks daft. If you're really interested you can probably go look up Cornette since he's probably had a few rants about it.
That said it's not often I see pointless flips in WWE anyway, I like my flippyshit, it's just when they're being needlessly excessive with them. Plus I guess some people view it as cheap. Smarks love people who can "wrestle", being able to do flips isn't really wrestling, it's acrobatics

Throwing bad strikes isn't wrestling either.
