All AJ does is win clean, he faced Dean Ambrose who cheated every match he was involved in. Furthermore AJ constantly clashes with the Miz who is a heel, much due to his heelish demeanor.

Then there is Daniel Bryan and Shane who constantly antagonize him, but they also put Elsworth in matches against AJ. That is a classic heel gm move, where the underdog gets feed to someone he can't beat. they even did it after AJ did the stair spot which showed that he was willing to cripple the little bastard who kept sticking his chin in his business. Then when AJ had beaten just about everyone there is to beat they give a rested John Cena a new shoot at the title. And once AJ lost his title he never got his one on one rematch, he did everything they told him to in order to get his one on one at WrestleMania and then they arbitrarily took it away from him.
