ECW played a fine line of working the smarks and keeping kayfabe at the same time. They knew the forums existed that was revealing so much about the business that they didn't even bother insulting their intelligence. If someone was fired for whatever reason then Paul will make a promo about it without any bullshit.

WWE constantly insults their fans intelligence. But I can understand being as the big company they are and it would be foolish to do what ECW did and put things at risk. Especially since Vince holds the monopoly of wrestling.

Yep. A voice of logic. Even though the casuals (like my wife who enjoyed the PPV, they can't do it for the mainstream every week or month.) But their story lines were picked up straight away by my wife thanks to Joey and Mick - plus the the crowd was red hot. All I wanted to was make the point to others that a red hot crowd and stories that make sense bring in the casuals - like my wife. Not dissing on today's product, I follow every week, but it was interesting that my wife was ( a casual) yell and scream at the tv which was cool.
