ITT : our first match we couldnt watch because mom and dad didnt teach us yet what "PPV" was
>when they showed you that cocktease highlight reel
>when the highlights paused the moment a thing happened
My parents wouldn't order me any PPV's as a kid. I think the first one I actually watched was a TNA one in 2010 due to streaming.
I made a mistake, obviously.

You missed the fuck out. Literally my fondest memory was watching my first PPV (WrestleMania22) with dad. To this day my favorite mania too
>tfw back in the day we watched ppvs and porn for free with a cable scrambler
Best times
>mfw our third world shithole gets PPVs for free
>first full wrestling show I watched to kick off my weekly watching spree was WM22

You are scum. PPVs are rewarding to watch after you pay for them.

Based Pajeets working the muricans
I had no idea what PPV was, my child brain only heard the date of Wrestlemania 8 and I was excited as fuck Time comes and I put it on the usual wrestling channel and it wasn't on, and life has been downhill ever since.

Rock v Benoit Fully Loaded 2000

nah

They still do this from some bizarre reason.
They used to be free back in the day but it was just as frustrating.
>backlash 2000
>austin making his return
>set vcr night before
>run downstairs the next morning to see if rock won the belt
>video had ran out mid-way into the match
>didn't have time to unplug the phone and wait 20 minutes to get online and check

Havent watched WWE in a long time, do they still have good PPV music? The early 2000s were godtier
>>2325250
it's just bland generic rap/rock/wubwub played ad nauseam
>>2325262
>rap
What the fuck? I mean I didnt mind the occassional Limp Bizket but jesus christ
>>2325262
>wubwub
Are you fucking serious. I remember a time where most of the PPV songs were about brutality or challenging eachother.
>>2325166
>Fully Loaded
Oh for fucks sake
I never lived this I feel. Every kid at school loved wrestling and explained to me what PPV was. So by the time I got cable and started watching WCW, I wasn't too sad that I'd be missing Spring Stampede '99 even though I wanted to badly.

>Spring Stampede
What is with these awful PPV names
My local theater used to show the ppvs so me and my friends would always go. My mom would have to come with us and say we were allowed to watch it since its supposed to be 18+. They even had raffle tickets and would give out random memorabilia. I actually miss these times so much, a bunch of grown autists used to go and they would literally cheer in the theater. I remember when edge cashed in the money in the bank at new years revolution, the theater went ape shit.
>sorry for the blog post im drunk
What was the PPV that had that song "take me higher" I remember triple h was in the main event
My first ppv was summerslam 2010 and i the first ppv match i watched was Melina vs Alicia Fox.
Being from a low middle class poorfag family i had to settle for the highlight reels the night after the ppv. I fell out of wrestling in midschool until 2 years ago when WM28 was playing on cable which was great. My friend invited me to watch Royal Rumble 2016 when Based Haitch got me back in
>>2327097
>a Creed song was
>PPV theme
Fucking how?
>>2326841
I used to be a manager at a theater that showed ppvs when I was like 19. We used to sell out every seat in the whole building. Shit was pretty hype but also used to bring out the literal dregs of quasi rural Fort Worth, TX
>tfw my boss installed a residential satellite dish and only paid 50 bucks for ppvs
Then would turn around and charge 1000 people 5 bucks each to get in (and buy 5 dollar beers and sodas and expensive pizzas)
Took WWE like 3 years to shut us down
