losing 6 million in 1996 and then making 56 million profit 2 years later
Austin really did save wrestling from Shawn Michaels

its crazy that adjusted for inflation that 456,043,000 dollars in 2000-2001 is a bit more than 2016's profit, but wrestling and WWF has just nowhere near the cultural or social cache it once enjoyed. What was once a hip, edgy, popular company has been turned into a boring, lifeless cog in a bigger machine by the step-by-step number crunchers and corporate stooges where turning profit is the bottom line.
Sucks. For all the shit Hollywood and television and music get for being sell-out corporate junk, at least they produce interesting art once in awhile. WWE is just truly awful.
Based no dimes Michaels trying to kill man drama so we all do something better in our lives
Kek based diesel was a draw
Hbgay btfo
>Daniel Cryan gave the WWE its worst year ever
Smarks btfo

WWE didn't exist until 2002 though

>456,043,000 dollars in 2000-2001 is a bit more than 2016's profit,
You meant revenue. 2000-2001 profit was 84,981,000 - adjusted for inflation in 2016 makes that $118,443,872.63 compared to 2016's $33,725,000.
Good lord, HBGay must have gave Vince some amazing head to make up for that revenue loss
>>2310797
i knew i shouldn't have tried to sound smart or interesting
Finally can put to rest that Bret and Diesel were draws and Shawn Michaels was not. That diesel is not the lowest drawing wwf champ of all time. It is Shawn Michaels.

Based Roman literally saving the WWE in 2015 and 2016

You guys talk about these numbers like you own the actual company

Yeah, it's really autistic and comes across like these kids don't even like wrestling or the work put into it, and just want to pretend there's some kind of objective answer to questions nobody has.
>>2310810
well if Shawn Michaels was the number one guy in 98-99 there would be no WWE left
>>2310810
That's how Stamford Wives are.
They are literally children

>Finally can put to rest that Bret and Diesel were draws and Shawn Michaels was not
>that Bret and Diesel were draws
>Diesel
>draws
Literally not one person with a functional brain has ever believed this
>>2310814
That's why Taker took him out.
Based Taker
>>2310808
They weren't draws just because they did better than a bigger anti-draw
people unironically call HBK the GOAT
