Do you know what the biggest difference is between the WWE of 98-01 and today? The quality of performers. Back then, almost every act throughout the card was legitimately entertaining.

Angle, Benoit, Prime Lesnar, Big Show in the most dominant & legit phase of his WWE career, Eddie, Edge, Cena before he was a superhero, pre-shitty knees Mysterio, Taker.....that show had it all.....

Was so great that even Hogan and Vince had SD!-exclusive storylines. Even Michael Cole and Tazz were better than JR and Lawler around that period. God, we were spoiled back then.....

Too Cool. Too fuckin' Cool. Even the name is pure ass. And it's a team consisting of two lame corny white dudes dressed up in hip hop gear and a dancing, thong-wearing fatty that rubbed his ass in people's faces. And they got bigger pops than most of today's roster.

For me the gold period is since the middle of the 98's and up until middle of the 2005.

So much good stuff happening all around, specially between 1999~2003, it was absolutely amazing, specially compared to what we have today.

Literally almost everyone got HUGE fucking pops consistently. The crowds were incredible back then. They will never be that great again. Crowds are big part of what makes a show great. And it's no coincidence that as shows became worse over the years the crowds became worse as well.
