I agree with him. At this point they should buckle and introduce a midcard title for the actual aspiring talent to shoot for as the old fucks try to draw in the main event.

Because WWE is the biggest game in town. So they can afford to only get the best. But young guys suck because they lack experience, so older guys (who look relatively young) who've gained experience are the best available.

NXT doesn't know whether it's developmental or its own brand. Frankly it's kind of a mess because there's three blatant tiers of wrestlers there:

1. Top level Vets. These guys pretty much only wrestle each other and if they wrestle someone from another tier, they're going over every time. Shinsuke, Roode, Joe, Eric Young, etc.

2. Midcarders. These guys mostly feud with each other and never beat anyone in the top tier or win the belt. Guys like Tye, No Way, Almas.

3. Rookies. These are guys who just need more time wrestling in front of an audience. They're not gonna beat anyone in tier one or two.

NXT doesn't know what it wants to be, and they are hindered by NXT being so poor at developing new guys. NXT really lost something when Dusty died and you can tell the difference from then and now.

Vets are being trained for what Vince wants, and how WWE works. They also act as the 'draws' for smarks and some marks to actually watch.

Nobody would watch or give a fuk if it werent for Kenta, Balor, Joe, Nakamura, Asuka, Owens, Zayn, etc...

Other guys gets to be around and occasionally wrestle these vets who are positioned to:

Draw in the Japanese crowd.
Draw in the Gaijin Puro fan crowd.
Draw in the TNA (ex)viewers.
Draw in the Indie Bingo Hall Dwellers.
Etc...

At this, it was very succesful, and they drew in a lot of attention, and please their fanbase at Full Sail.

Developmental is not an easy task yet internet fans somehow expect for them to just be churning out Cena's and Austin's... While ignoring the fact that the roster has vastly improved since the whole NXT thing took off.

There all guys who have had great runs elsewhere, but need so time to adjust to the WWE style. Anyone who has seen Devitt or Shinsuke know that Japan strong style is much different than the WWE style. Anyone who has watched Joe or Roode knows that shitty TNAis bad at production, so there time in NXT is used to get them blocking in front of the appropriate cameras and whatnot.
