How can WWE stop wrestlers from getting injured? The strenuous schedule surely isn't good for their bodies but could they possibly take extra measures like wearing pic related and other stuff under their ring gear? Injuries have fucked up so many of their plans so at what point are they gonna actually implement something that will actively prevent injuries?
>>
>>2227285
2016 actually didn't have that many injuries
>>
>>2227300
Wasn't 2015 plagued with injuries? Which is why WM32 was so shit?
>>
>>2227285
Not sure how they can prevent injury, but let them do all the steroids they want to heal up.
>>
>>2227307
This tbf

Steroids and pain killer abuse kept people from getting injured constantly, it's the only way.
>>
>>2227312
>steroids help prevent injuries
>steroids keep guys from looking like skinnyfat geeks

Why are they outlawed again?
>>
>>2227312
Steroids and painkillers are what made the AE and RA era so intense and fast paced.

Too bad one autist had to ruin it all for us

Who?

Yes

Eddie Gayrrero and his exploding heart

They need to figure out a way to get guys to work less dates but being that WWE wrestlers dont have a union it probably wont happen.
>>
Have an off season
>>
>>2227319
Actually makes you prone to tears more

>>2227417
>Work less dates
So make less money and give guys less experience?
Maybe you have guys stop doing stupid flippy moves all the time and get hit with furniture every other month

For one, I can't see how the weekend live events for 200 audience members are worth the toll on the wrestlers' bodies.
>>
>>2227285
>How can WWE stop wrestlers from getting injured?

the same way every other sport does. they can't
>>
Well this is just me but maybe a guy who just came back from knee surgery shouldn't have a finisher that has him putting all his weight on his knees.
>>
consider this!
the injuries are often fake and used as an excuse for vacation time

people have played judo daily on hard wood floors for 100 years and have less injuries, and the most common ones are broken fingers and toes because they get snagged on clothing. Obviously fake just like everything else

If you work less dates, you can arguably make more money because guys will get hurt less and the matches guys work will be of a higher quality. Guys in other feds do more dangerous spots and get hurt less because they're not wrestling 8 billion house shows with sub 5k people in attendance.

Seth refused to wear a knee brace even though he wears pants. The man is a legit retard

from the most recent annual report

Live Events
(represents 19%, 20% and 22% of our net revenues in 2015, 2014 and 2013, respectively)
Our broad and talented roster of Superstars and Divas allows us to perform in numerous domestic markets
and take advantage of the strong international demand for our events. Live events and the associated programming
produced at our live events are our principal creative content and production activities. Our creative team develops
compelling and complex characters and weaves them into dynamic storylines that combine physical and emotional
elements. Storylines are usually played out in the ring and unfold on our weekly television shows, culminating in
monthly marquis events airing on WWE Network and also distributed via pay-per-view.
In 2015, we produced 273 live events throughout North America, entertaining approximately 1.6 million fans at
an average ticket price of $53.22. We hold many of our live events at major arenas across the country. In addition to
providing content for our television and other programming, these events provide us with a real-time assessment of the
popularity of our storylines and characters.

1.6 million at $53.22 a head is a lot money. This is just north america.

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I read an article once suggesting that WWE implements an off season . It would allow the wrestlers to heal up, train, etc. which would help prevent injury. Plus it would boost ratings (absence makes the heart grow fonder, after all).
>>
>>2227601
Why throw away all that money?
>>
>>2227607
Dude, having a shitton of injuries costs money too. I think you're overestimating how much house shows make for the WWE.
>>
>>2227610
see

>>2227596

World wide it is literally more than 125 million dollars a year.

I would have the main rotation (guys who are used regularly on televised shows) sit out at house shows in order to 1. prevent needless wear and tear on the main stars and 2. showcase lesser used talent, getting some steam on them for future use
>>
>>2227562
Sauce?
>>
>>2227453
Workrate kills. Just look at recent dragon gate with the injuires they had. They will be all broken down cripples at 50.
>>
>>2227453
Deca, hgh and its peptide precursors will significantly speed up injury recovery though.

>>2227494
Shoulder and knee injuries are most common actually.
>>
>>2227319
to keep guys from roid raging and bennoiting themselves
>>
>>2230693
the combination of too many impacts of his head with no protection drove Benoit to do that more than the steroids
