Is Vince trying to kill his company before he dies?

WWE was the one who hype Kenny Omega, Balor, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, etc.. for the rumble in his social media. WWE created that hype around that match and surprise entrances, and they blew it up.

Thats why he is trying to buy most of the indies and adressing NJPW so much, he wants all wrestling die with him.

He's a fucking genius, he created fake buzz for his PPV to get the smarks watching, and throwing in Goldberg, Taker and Lesnar was to get the casuals and nostalgic fans to watch, and then he puts his own guys in the spots where all the surprises should have been.

They hyped Angle by putting him in the HoF, and they hyped the fuck out of Kenny Omega by mentioning him in that video where they asked the superstars who they wanted in the Rumble and Omega's name came up. Not only that, I'm 100% positive they mentioned him a few other times leading up to the Rumble
