Not his fault, honestly. It's just medicine that's been given to him by a doctor. Phil isn't a doctor, nor does he have a degree in anything useful, so he probably doesn't even know what a fucking Z-Pak is or what it's supposed to do.
He's fucking dumb and follows a mantra just because nobody, not even his own father, liked him during childhood and he wanted to act like it was his choice to be a Straight Edge, punk, atheist outcast, so he most likely never sat down and thought if anything he does and any addiction he has goes against the ideologies he supposedly believes in, and so he lives in ignorance.
