Does it upset any of you martial arts/MMA guys about the direction of this board?
I think most of us would agree that we don't mind pro-wrestling at all, but when it is completely over saturated on /asp/ it gets to be a serious annoyance.
With the daily rant about the board out of the way, any of you guys train any koryu arts? Do you think they would be more effective in a no holds barred fight?

/asp/ has become a containment board for /sp/ to keep wrestling fags shitposting among themselves.
We have to deal with it and bear it.
*puts on fedora*
On behalf of the wrestling fans here, I apologize for you having to deal with our bullshit.

I'm pretty sure most of the martial arts/more esoteric sports guys left with the influx of wrestling shitposting
I just passed by seeing if the body weight fitness general was still going on. I miss when folks were fighting over best Martial Arts, after Gun and Running.
What do you guys think of Aikido? It seems pretty interesting. I like the idea of a martial art that doesn't harm.

Ummm, I dunno. Like, you're gonna have a hard time applying it without live training. And catching wrists is very, very difficult to do. And pain compliance stuff doesn't always work. I think it would work best against people who aren't trying to all out fight you, like if you're a bouncer.

I learned some techniques from a guy whos been doing it for 11 years. First aikido is more than just catching wristlocks. Also, when you try to get a good aikido guy in a hold you can't keep them, and they are able to throw and control you easily.
