Why does everyone care about ratings so much? TV is a dying medium and internet streaming is the future.
If anything, WWE is in a stronger position due to the popularity of the Network.

USA is still their bread and butter

t. Vince
TV rights fees are what keeps the WWE afloat, both in terms of money and exposure.
If they get kicked off of TV, how long until the whole business dies? Hard to keep promoting their stuff if you have to subscribe to a paid service.
That said, a lot of the ratings talk is just shitposting anyways.

I agree, I don't watch TV as a general rule of thumb, but I don't have cable so nothing I want to watch is on TV, anyway. If there was a wrestling program on Public Television I'd be watching it, regardless of whether it was the WWE, TNA or Ring of Honor. If there was a promotion that aired on Public I'd probably switch over to watching it in general.
Television is surpassing movies ya big dummy. Cable is dying, not the programs.

This. With YouTube and the network there's less and less reason to watch them live.
A lot of people I know don't even get cable anymore and just stream shit. Cable costs way too much.
