On TNA legacy:
> In its 14 year legacy, TNA never made a real superstar. They had real superstars, but they were Hogan, Sting, Flair and Kurt Angle. A.J. Styles was a star, but even so, WWE had virtually on interest in him when he decided to leave TNA after a dozen years. After two years in New Japan, the same A.J. Styles, having been given the chance to be a star with a competent promotion and put in the position to have some of the best main events in the world, was viewed by many as the best wrestlers in the industry, and today he’s WWE champion. The template for Samoa Joe was made in ROH, and in hindsight, it’s almost like his long TNA tenure was a career sabbatical because he picked right up from his ROH character as soon as he went to NXT.

This is a must read.
Based Big Dick Dave exposing the con artist known as "Dixie Carter"
Link please? Pastebin would be appreciated too.
As someone who watched TNA for 12 years, this is true. They jump on ex-wwe talents dick and make their original stars their "protege". I remember how they buried AJ Styles when Kurt Angle came in. And today Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes are already in the Main Event scene.
You could legit swap TNA for WWE at this point, Vince for Russo, the only star they have created worth a shit in the last decade with mainstream credibility is Batista and even then you could argue that he broke through because of his blockbusters and not because of their kerbstomped product.

Very Interesting Read.

>Senior BenjaClaus and Vanguard the Red-nosed Reindrone
Interesting read, but I IRL lol'd at Meltz bashing TNA for having 200k-400k viewers while praising NJPW for having the same amount, not to mention the Styles comment, when even Vince has supposedly said that he wishes now that he'd had AJ ten years ago.

this
the AJ Styles "next Nature Boy" gimmick was horrible and the reason why AJ was said to have bad mic skills up until his run now

>bashing TNA for having 200k-400k viewers while praising NJPW for having the same amount
NJPW is on in fewer homes and doesn't have anything close to a good primetime slot.
>>1891334
Vince's comment support Dave's argument 100% though. TNA never made him appear as the star he could have been

AJ was the face of TNA.

>>1891758
Absolutely not.

The difference is that Vince McMahon has some business sense, while Vince Russo and, more importantly, Dixie Carter, are full retard in every respect.

Are you fucking illiterate? Like it said right there in the post you're replying to, TNA didn't make any of those guys top stars. AJ literally gained more value and star power from two years in Japan than over a decade in TNA. Samoa Joe gained more from RoH, Bobby Roode literally got more attention from the entrance music they chose for him in NXT than all his time in TNA. If anything TNA squandered their potential and was a complete waste of their time from a career building perspective.
