Millienials came of age in the 90s and early 00s when the economy was booming and the world was at peace. Generation Z came of age in the late 00s and early 10s when the world was already in turmoil. They have been under no illusions. Unlike faggot millenials, they've never needed to get a clue because they grew up knowing they'd never survive this world without one. They're ideal wrestler is a self-reliant alpha who will do what needs to be done in a dangerous world.

In a sense you could say that wrestling is cyclical and the next top star needs to be to Austin what Cena was to Hogan.

I'd predict Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens (as an anti-hero babyface) will be the top stars. Big E or Sami Zayn will be the #2 guy that panders to the previous generation, like how Edge and CM Punk pandered to the attitude era leftovers while Cena worked the millenials. Sasha could be huge too if she learns how to work a mic.

Narrowing them down, if they give up on The Shield they'll most likely give Big E and Big Cass main event singles pushes.

If those two fail, then by that point Owens and Zayn won't really be prospects any more in publicly traded company logic. They'll probably look to the next little age group of which Bray Wyatt and Ricochet are probably the stand outs, and maybe Jason Jordan. Of those three Bray is in the best position to get that push in two years time or whatever. Before Austin emerged they were planning on pushing Undertaker as the top guy in '97, so the gimmick won't prevent Wyatt getting his shot and they were considering turning him face earlier this year so they clearly see money in that.

If he fails then by that by point they will desperate so pretty much anyone on the above list will considered even if they're older than ideal or don't fit the WWE look.

So the order of succession, if you will, is:

1. Roman
2. Seth
3. Big Cass
4. Big E
5. Bray Wyatt
6. Whoever is most over out those overlooked
